The only Apple application that can open AppleWork's presentation format might be Keynote '09. Otherwise, AppleWorks documents are on a deserted island with respect to current Apple Keynote compatibility, and presently available Apple applications in general.
I have a PDF with slides in it from someone else and I want to import all the separate pages of the PDF as separate slides in Keynote. The best answer I can find is this one on apple support, but it suggests splitting the PDF into separate 1-page files to drag them into Keynote individually and I'm sure there must be an easier way. Nirvana discography mega.
Get the free LibreOffice (fresh) Office Suite. It can open ClarisWorks 5/AppleWorks 6 documents including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation formats. It will open AW databases as spreadsheets without formulas. It is no substitute for AppleWorks 6.29, and if the AW documents are overly complex, they may not be accurately opened in LibreOffice.
At this point in time, your AppleWorks options are limited. You might consider purchasing an older Mac that can install Snow Leopard (10.6.3) and then update (10.6.8) until no more updates appear. Then install AppleWorks on that machine, and export your documents to Microsoft formats for cross-platform sharing. Apple still offers AppleWorks updates.

There is an AppleWorks Support Community, and an iWork Support Community available for additional help.
